A gap is a move measured from the RTH (real-time hours) range of one session to another. This is a mark of the presence of the OTF (other time frame trader) and should alert a trader that large ranges are possible. Gaps do not occur very often, but when they do, it’s helpful to have some rules to help you navigate them as there are different types of gaps as we enumerate in this video.
